The Milwaukee state senator removed from the Legislature’s budget-writing committee is defending her record and the way she treated a former employee. Democrat Lena Taylor calls her loss of that seat on the Joint Finance Committee a “political lynching.” She said she doesn’t think she did anything warranting her removal. That dramatic step was taken this week when human resources investigators said she had bullied her staff and retaliated against one employee. Taylor inferred the employee wasn’t showing up for work while the employee said she was using family and medical leave.
