Former Rockies pitcher Jhoulys Chacin picked up the win for the Milwaukee Brewers in Thursday’s 5-2 game at Colorado. Chacin spent six years of his career pitching in Denver. He improved his record to 3-1 by holding the home team to two runs in five-and-a-third innings. Brewers Manager Craig Counsell praised Chacin’s performance.
Lorenzo Cain started the game on the right foot.
Jeremy Jeffress earned his third save by striking out the side in the ninth. Travis Shaw had three hits for Milwaukee and Hernan Perez knocked in a pair of runs with a single. Rookie right-hander Brandon Woodruff is expected to be the starting pitcher for the Brewers in tonight’s 7:40 P-M contest.
