Another member of the ‘Shaw’ family will be coaching boys basketball in the Fox River Classic Conference this winter.  ‘Jesse’ Shaw is leaving Antigo High School after 11-seasons to take over the program at Sheboygan South next season.  The Lincoln High School & Manitowoc native compiled an record of 184-and-74 with the Red Robins leading them to a trip to State in 2010 & 4 Great Northern championships.  Shaw’s brother, Dave, coaches the Pulaski Red Raiders and his team at South will meet them twice a season as part of the FRCC schedule.  Dave and Jesse’s father, Brian, had a VERY successful coach run at Lincoln High School and was later named to both the Lakeshore All-Sports Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

The Sheboygan South Redwings went just 3-and-20 last winter under interim Coach Jeff Ristow.  South Athletic Director Chris Hein said of the new incoming coach, “Jesse Shaw is going to be a great addition to the community. He is an outstanding teacher & coach with a proven track record.  We believe he has what it takes to elevate the Redwing boys basketball program.”
