The Wisconsin Constitutional prohibits sports betting and the current state-tribal compacts do the same.  That means this state won’t be affected by Monday’s ruling on legalizing betting on college and professional sports.  There is a loophole, of sorts.  If one of Wisconsin’s 11 tribes operating a casino wanted to offer sports betting, the state could agree.  The decision by the high court opens the door to the Wisconsin Legislature making future decisions on sports betting without a federal roadblock.
