The seventh annual Progress Lakeshore Economic Development Awards Breakfast was held Tuesday at the Manitowoc Holiday Inn. The awards banquet shines a light on the best economic development projects along Lake Michigan in Door, Kewaunee, Calumet, Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties. The Entrepreneurial Achievement Award was given to R2H Flavor Technology of Manitowoc, while the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center received the Neighborhood Development Award. The ever expanding Lakeside Foods of Manitowoc was granted the Corporate Investment Award, the Community Enhancement Award was presented to the Clipper City Co-Op, and Two Rivers Based Allstates Rigging earned the Economic Accelerator of the Year Award. On top of recognizing these amazing local businesses, Executive Director Peter Wills revealed Progress Lakeshore’s Strategic Plan for 2018-2021. The plan focuses on Workforce Development, Business Retention & Expansion, Entrepreneurship and Community Collaboration.
