The Milwaukee Bucks made the formal announcement of the hiring of their new head coach in Chicago Thursday while team officials were watching the action at the N-B-A draft combine. General manager Jon Horst welcomed Mike Budenholzer to his new team, pointing to his history of building successful teams as a coach. Horst commented on the new coach’s “leadership, basketball intellect, championship-level experience and communication skills.” The Bucks wanted to get Budenholzer signed because the Toronto Raptors were also strongly interested in his services.
