Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell says the team will watch to see how Zach Davies bounces back from an impressive rehab start in Appleton Saturday. Davies is on the 10-day disabled list with rotator cuff inflammation. He pitched four-and-two-thirds innings Saturday, allowing two hits and no walks while fanning nine batters and throwing 56 pitches. Davies says he doesn’t think another minor league start will be necessary before he returns to the Brewers rotation. Milwaukee won seven-of-10 games on the road trip which ended Sunday — without either of the team’s two top pitchers, Davies and Chase Anderson.
