One night after an impressive come-from-behind effort, the season for the Wisconsin Badgers softball team finally came to an end Saturday. Wisconsin dropped a 5-1 decision to the Oregon State Beavers in an N-C-A-A regional elimination game. Oregon State was defeated by Alabama for the regional title Sunday. The Badgers were sent home after making a fourth N-C-A-A tournament appearance in the last six years. They finished the 2018 season with a record of 29-23. Wisconsin’s only run scored in the bottom of the seventh on an error and a single, with Gabby Scherle crossing the plate on an infield groundout.
