A Green Bay man is paying more than $1,600 in fines after his dog bit a child.
On the morning of May 17th , Humane Officer Mallory Meves responded to a dog bite at a residence on the west side of Green Bay. In the investigation, Officer Meves seized a white wolf hybrid that was responsible for biting a victim. This wolf hybrid is a cross between a wolf and domesticated dog weighing 107.5 lbs and standing 37 inches tall. These are illegal to possess within the Green Bay City limits or proper permitting through the WI DNR. The wolf hybrid was unprovoked when it bit the juvenile victim.
The suspect Brian Schoen is a 46 year old Green Bay resident who has a history of possessing exotic/dangerous animals within Green Bay city limits dating back to 2004. He was issued Green Bay Municipal citations for
Animal bite Forfeiture – $376
Not having his animal licensed Forfeiture – $376
Keeping more than two dogs Forfeiture – $187
Keeping an exotic animal. Forfeiture – $691
