A sixth-inning sacrifice fly from Domingo Santana produced the only run in a 1-0 Milwaukee win over the slumping Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday night. Arizona lost for the 12th time in 13 games. Santana had been robbed of a home run in the fourth inning by a catch made by outfielder Jarrod Dyson. Jhoulys Chacin and three relievers shut out Arizona on three hits. Matt Albers got the win with a scoreless inning in relief and Corey Knebel locked down his third save. Manager Craig Counsell was proud of his mound crew.
There was ninth-inning drama when the Brewers thought home plate umpire Angel Hernandez was squeezing the strike zone, but nobody was thrown out. Knebel admitted he got a bit heated.
Brent Suter starts for Milwaukee this afternoon in a game starting at 12:10 P-M.
