The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the man whose body was found washed ashore near the Village of Cleveland earlier this week. Deputy Inspector Jason Orth says he’s been identified as 38- year-old Minhbao Pham of Fresh Meadows, New York.
The County’s Joint Dispatch Center received a call shortly after four on Tuesday afternoon for the report of a body of an adult male located on the shoreline of Lake Michigan approximately a mile-and-a-half south of Hika Bay Park. Authorities say their investigation determined Mr. Pham is the individual witnesses observed potentially drowning earlier this month while in Lake Michigan north of Hika Bay Park.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy yesterday with the cause of death pending based on autopsy results which could take several weeks. No foul play is suspected at this time as authorities continue their investigation.
