The interim superintendent for Milwaukee Public Schools says there won’t be any cuts to school allocations as the district deals with a 30-million dollar deficit. Keith Posley told board members Thursday there will be major reorganization and cuts to administrative positions at the central office, but no teachers will be fired. Posley takes over in the middle of the district’s budgeting process after former superintendent Darienne Driver left for a position in Detroit. He says one of the biggest challenges is filling the 338 vacancies the district has right now.
