The Lakeshore Technical College Foundation recently received a gift of $25,000 from the John C. and Katherine B. Miller Charitable Fund of the Lakeshore Community. The gift is designated to support the LTC Promising Futures Scholarship Campaign. Launched last fall with a goal of one million dollars, the campaign will raise funds to help high school seniors and adult students access financial resources and enroll at LTC.
“With partners like John and Kate Miller, LTC is redefining the future of higher education to create an affordable, accessible path to family-sustaining employment and career advancement,” said LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen.
The Promising Futures Scholarship Campaign will make the dream of a college education a reality by addressing three key initiatives: Promise Scholarships for high school seniors, Futures Scholarships for adult students, and Emergency Grants for LTC students in need of immediate financial relief.
“We believe in making more scholarships available to willing and ambitious students who otherwise could not afford a technical education,” said John Miller. “It is our hope that our gift to the Promising Futures Scholarship Campaign truly will transform lives with an LTC education.”
