Racine County authorities have charged a 40-year-old man with intentionally causing bodily harm to a child with a dangerous weapon. James L. Getz is accused of tripping the seven-year-old boy, stabbing him with scissors and forcing him to stand in a corner without sleeping. Getz was angry because the boy had been suspended at his school. School officials say the child had visible injuries to his face, so they reported the attack to authorities. The boy was suspended for chasing other students while holding scissors.
