A 59-year-old man from rural Columbus is accused of using his family’s tractor without permission to cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage to neighboring property. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office arrested James P. Koth on suspicion of burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and trespassing charges. The sheriff’s office received multiple calls Sunday morning about Koth’s four-wheeled rampage. Deputies say he caused the damage on purpose. Koth is said to have an extensive criminal record.
