The man whose threats of violence led Sparta High School graduation ceremonies to be postponed has been arrested in Iowa. Benjamin Sidie had said he would shoot his estranged family, then he wanted to die in a “suicide by cop” incident. The ceremonies which had been scheduled for last Friday will be re-scheduled. Sidie had made his threats in text messages. Sparta police say the suspect was arrested in Dubuque Monday. He will be extradited and could face additional charges when he is returned to Wisconsin.
