A Madison man has been deemed competent to stand trial for allegedly stabbing his roommate to death. Ronald E. Redeaux Junior made a Dane County Court appearance Monday. He had been found not competent in January. Madison police say Redeaux told them he used a pair of scissors to stab 52-year-old Gerald Moore multiple times and Moore was dead when officers arrived. The two men had been roommates, on and off, for about six years. Redeaux faces a charge of first-degree intentional homicide. His court date hasn’t been announced.
