Because of an incident that happened in Green Bay this afternoon parents are encouraged to pay attention to painted rocks that are found and carefully check them before allowing children to pick them up.
At around 3PM, a city employee found a painted rock in the bushes in the 200 block of N. Adams St. Upon picking up the rock, the employee discovered that a rusty razor blade was attached to the rock using a rubber band.
The “Kindness Rocks” treasure hunt game is popular among kids and adults and is meant to create kindness and cultivate compassion. The premise is simple, find any small rock, paint it with a kind message or simple picture and then hide it for someone else to find.
The Green Bay Police Department is asking anybody that has any information on who left the rock with the razor blade connected to it, to please call (920) 448-3208.
