Milwaukee police have arrested two 16-year-old suspects for a Wednesday morning crime spree in normally tranquil Shorewood. Investigators say car windows were broken at several locations so thieves could get inside and steal items. The first 9-1-1 calls came into Shorewood police at about 7:00 A-M. While police were following up on those incidents, an emergency call about a strong-armed robbery was received. The robbers took a woman’s purse and drove off in her S-U-V. Milwaukee police started chasing the vehicle and caught the two suspects when they got out and started running. Home surveillance video recorded some of the break-ins.
