Developers of the Wisconsin Soybean Crushing Plant are seeking an air permit from the Department of Natural Resources. The 150-million dollar plant would be built in an industrial park in Waupun, with construction starting next year and the facility opening in 2020. The new plant would mean about 40 full-time jobs. The permit application indicates the plant would be able to process more than 35-hundred tons of soybeans each day. A public comment period will be open until July 11th.
