Two students from McKinley Academy in Manitowoc have earned a trip to Madison with their Math instructor. Junior Haley Denis and Sophomore Julian Thomas achieved an average attendance of at least 80% from January 2nd though May 4th, performed a minimum of 10 hours of service learning, and wrote a 250 word reflection at the end of their service learning to receive the opportunity. The students, along with Math Instructor Stephanie Stevens, will be taking a tour of the Capitol, and viewing pieces of art at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Arts. Both students voted on these as places they wanted to see. The McKinley service learning program is run by both Stevens, and English Language Arts Instructor, Lisa Greil.
