A 22- year-old Manitowoc man is free on a $4,000 recognizance bond and facing several charges in connection to two separate incidents last Friday afternoon near Lincoln High School’s graduation. Corbin J. Schuetze is charged with battery to law enforcement—threats to law enforcement—resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. Police responded to a call for a man passed out at a residence in the 1200 block of 12th street about 3 p.m. Schuetze had left before officers arrived. They located him near South 11th and Division streets where he uttered a profanity and fled on foot down Division Street. An off-duty officer took Schuetze to the ground but he was able to free himself momentarily before being taken down a second time. Once contained he continued resisting at one point telling an officer “You’re lucky I don’t kill you.” A number of officers finally subdued him and he was taken into custody. Conditions of bail are that Schuetze have no contact with the individuals involved or their residences—maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol and report to The Police Department for photos and prints. His initial appearance is schedule for July 2nd at 2:30.
