The top-3 finishers in the Fox River Classic Conference this season will all be part of the WIAA State Girls Soccer Tournament in Milwaukee this weekend. Sheboygan North, at 20-&-1 with one tie, is the top-seeded team in Division-1 in their first-ever appearance in the State tournament. The Golden Raiders face #4 Muskego Thursday afternoon at 4:30, in the first semifinal at Kohler Engines Stadium at Uihlein Soccer Park. Second-seeded Bay Port (22-and-1) will then battle Kettle Moraine at 7:00 Thursday. And, in Division-3: Notre Dame Academy, which ended up 3rd in the conference, is the ‘2’-seed & takes a 15-5-and-1 mark into its’ state semifinal match against undefeated Belleville/New Glarus at 7:00 Friday night. Meanwhile, another area school, Cedar Grove-Belgium, (15-1-&-1) gets the #1 seed in D-4’ and will tangle with Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld Friday ‘morning’ at 11:00. Championship matches in all 4-divisions…will be held on Saturday.
