After nine years in the position, the president of the Eau Claire City Council has stepped down. The resignation of Kerry Kincaid was read into the minutes at the council’s Tuesday meeting. Kincaid wasn’t there. There may have been some conflicts between Kincaid and other members of the council. Records indicate one council member had requested mediation with her, but it didn’t happen. Kincaid was elected to her most-recent three-year term in April 2017. Council Vice President Andrew Werthmann will preside over meetings until the vacancy is filled.
