Manitowoc and Chilton FSA Offices Looking for Nominations Prior to Elections

Manitowoc and Chilton’s Farm Service Agencies are looking for nominations for their Committee Elections. The County Committees are considered a vital link between the farm community and the FSA, providing an opportunity for farmers to have their opinions and ideas be heard. All eligible farmers are encouraged to participate in the election process by nominating candidates by the August 1st deadline.  To be eligible to serve on an FSA County Committee a person must participate or cooperate in any program administered by FSA, they must be eligible to vote in the election and they must reside in one of the townships in which the election is occurring. Farmers may nominate themselves or others interested in running, and organizations representing minorities and women may also nominate candidates.
