Lorraine M. Krizizke, age 92, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, peacefully entered Eternal Life on Sunday night, July 8, 2018 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Lorraine was born in Two Rivers on May 27, 1926, to Matt and Emma (Zima) Kvitek. She graduated from St. Luke’s Grade School in 1940, and graduated with the class of 1944 from Washington High School, Two Rivers. Her first job was at Schwartz Mfg. Co. where she worked as a switch board operator, then in 1946, she was employed at the shipping office at Hamilton Mfg. Co., and later worked for a number of years as a nurses aide at the Two Rivers Community Hospital, and retired from Paragon Electric Company. On February 20, 1945, she married Harold J. Krizizke at St. Luke’s Catholic Church while he was on leave from the U.S. Navy. The couple was blessed with 73 years of marriage. Harold preceded her in death on April 19, 2018.
Lorraine and Harold were longtime campers at the Otter Lake Trailer Park in Eagle River, which began in 1978. Lorraine was always in favor of trying her luck at a little gambling and enjoyed many trips to Branson and Las Vegas. She enjoyed playing cards, especially with her grandkids and great grandchildren; she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and various types of craftwork. Lorraine was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer/St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, and very active with the ladies society. She was also a member of the Z.C.B.J Lodge.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, David (Jill) Krizizke of Fond du Lac; her daughter & son-in-law, Julie (Alvin) Anderson of Manitowoc; four grandsons: Cory (Trisha) Krizizke, Brock (Erin) Krizizke, James (April) Anderson, Jeremy (Paula) Anderson; and nine great-grandchildren: Jackson and Leah Krizizke; Caden, Brady, and Lincoln Krizizke; Blake and Hailey Anderson; and Jacob and Emily Anderson; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Harold, Lorraine was also preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Emma Kvitek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Rose Krizizke; a great-grandson, Thomas Norman Anderson; one sister & brother-in-law, Delores (Richard) Heinzen; and two brothers-in-law, Victor (Jeanette) Kritski, and Elmer (Beverly) Krizizke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the memorial mass will be Rev.Tom Reynebeau, with burial of her cremated remains to take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Friday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
