Today is day three of our week-long series on suicide in commemoration of Suicide Prevention Week. If you recall our series we ran back in June, we heard the story of Morgan Daly, as told by his mother Shanen. Today we are hearing another side of this tragic tale, this time from the perspective of his brother, Logan. We asked Logan about the relationship he shared with his brother in their early years.
Morgan’s mental health began to decline, and on December 1st, 2016. He took his own life. Logan spoke about the day it happened.
As Logan grew up he became involved in the wrong crowd, and got into drugs. We asked Logan if he thinks this decision had an effect on his brother.
His drug addiction eventually landed Logan in jail, which made it impossible for him to attend Morgan’s graduation from Marine Corp Boot Camp.
We asked Logan how Morgan’s death affected him.
According to Logan, Morgan’s death did have a positive impact on the relationship between him and his Mother Shanen Daly.
We asked Logan if he had any advice for anyone who is either struggling with thoughts of suicide, or are struggling with the death of a loved one.
