Bernice M. Denor, age 92, of Whitelaw, died Tuesday morning, September 18, 2018 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Bernice was born on August 3, 1926 in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Adeline Mathilda (Wenzlaff) Baroun. She grew up in the town of Franklin and attended local area schools. On August 3, 1948 Bernice married Daniel Tisler at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1949. On November 18, 1950 Bernice married John F. Denor at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2003. Bernice worked in the past as a cook for the Maple Crest Sanitorium. Following her marriage, she became a loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of Whitelaw Senior Citizens, Ambitious Homemakers, Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post# 6179 Auxiliary of Kellnersville, St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Rosary Society.
She is survived by her ten children and their spouses: Dennis (Karen) Baroun, Reedsville; Nancy (John) Dugan, Whitelaw; Shirley (Don) Hastreiter, Cato; Rosmary (Dan) Schuh, Cato; Phyllis (Dave) Artz, Cato; Betty (Tom) Ebert, Whitelaw; Randall (Gail) Denor, Reedsville; Mark Denor, Whitelaw; Steven (Kim) Denor, Whitelaw; Patrick Denor, Mountain; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth (Shirley) Baroun, Allentown, PA; Marvin (Susan) Baroun, New Auburn; one sister: Germaine Luedtke, Whitelaw; one special niece: Mary Stultz, Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Adeline Baroun; two husbands: Daniel Tisler and John Denor; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 522 Tower Avenue, Kellnersville. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial, with Deacon Cal Naidl Homilist. Entombment will follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
