Marilyn B. Peterson, age 93, a resident of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Friday, October 12, 2018 at her residence.
Marilyn was born on October 15, 1924 in Marinette to the late Stafford and Ilma Henze Byrum. She graduated form Marinette High School with the class of 1942, and from Prospect Hall Business College in Milwaukee in 1943. Marilyn held several positions in Milwaukee – at John Hancock Insurance Company. – Secretary for the Life Underwriters Association of Wisconsin, A.O. Smith Corporation, and before moving to Manitowoc, was Private Secretary to the Chief Engineer at AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors for 10 years. On April 15, 1950 Marilyn married Charles D. Peterson in Marinette. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1991. Survivors include one son, Michael C. (Catherine) Peterson, Durango, CO; one daughter, Nancy (Conrad) Bundy, Manitowoc; one grandson, Kevin Charles Bundy and his fiancé Shelby DeRoche, Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Shirley; and brother, Jack.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Guglielmo officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Marilyn’s cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery.
