Rolf Johnson is moving on from his post as CEO of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc. The museum issued a news release announcing that Johnson has resigned effective immediately, after five years in the position. The museum’s board of trustees is beginning a national search for the museum’s next leader. Board President Jerry Clusen, a retired rear admiral in the US Navy, praised Johnson for steering the museum into its 50th year, creating new exhibits, furthering institutional partnerships, and fostering community engagement.
The museum on Maritime Drive in Manitowoc is currently operating under its regular winter hours.
