The Manitowoc Council has unanimously approved the “Downtown Master Plan” that has been in the works for years. Mayor Justin Nickels says the city has identified four key sites to focus on, one being the farmers market parking lot.
The fourth is the Baymont-Maritime Museum Parking lot where Nickels envisions additional residential and commercial development on the river. The Council also approved a downtown business façade program
The mayor adds that these are exciting times in Manitowoc saying that “people are wanting to do things and invest in the downtown. He also thanks all who volunteered their time to make this “a reality.”
