Margaret “Marge” Rutherford, age 79, of Manitowoc, went to her eternal home in heaven early Friday morning, December 28, 2018 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Marge was born on February 7, 1939, in the township of Carlton in Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Adam and Alice (Swoboda) Klimesh. She graduated from Kewaunee High School with the class of 1957. On December 6, 1958 Marge married Perry K. Rutherford at First German Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2013. Over the years Marge was employed at The Sting Restaurant & Bar, Aitken-Reed and she retired from Copp’s Food Store. She was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church and the Otto-Oas VFW Post #659 Auxiliary. Over the years Marge was a great supporter and fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Survivors include one daughter: Kathryn Rutherford, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Kevin (Sara) Rutherford, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Misty Rutherford, Manitowoc; Tabatha Rutherford, Milwaukee; Xavier Rutherford, Howard; one step-grandson: Jaxson Nadeau, Manitowoc; two great-grandchildren: Alandra Jaimes; Buddy Brenner; one sister-in-law: Arlene Klimesh, Manitowoc; two special friends: Rhonda Bialek, Manitowoc; Blanche Larzelere, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Adam and Alice Klimesh; her husband; Perry Rutherford; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Bertha Rutherford; two sons: Kurt Rutherford; Kenneth Rutherford; one infant sister; three brothers: Fred Klimesh; Ernest Klimesh; Daniel Klimesh.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Mark Johnston will officiate with burial of her cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
