Warren R. Reinhardt, age 86, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life Saturday, January 5, 2019 at River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Warren was born on February 10, 1932 to the late Earl and Rose Busse Reinhardt. Warren’s mother passed away at a young age and grew up with his sisters in an orphanage in Indiana. He graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne, IN and then enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge on December 10, 1953. Warren and his sisters then returned to Manitowoc and he had worked at Mirro Aluminum Company for many years as a purchasing agent. He was an avid reader, enjoyed doing artwork and was a talented gardener. Warren had a kind heart and helped anyone in need. He volunteered for Manitowoc County Habitat for many years where he served on their board of directors and worked on numerous houses. Warren was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ where he sang in the choir for many years.
Warren is survived by his two nephews, Mark and David Bushman, both of Manitowoc; close friends in Roger and Jan Mettelmann and Elaine Novak, all of Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rose Reinhardt; and three sisters, Ruth Reinhardt, Eleanore Bushman, and Lucille Reinhardt.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
