Rose J. Tadych, age 96, of rural Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Rose was born on December 31, 1922 in Kellnersville, daughter of the late Edward and Emily (Stodola) Decker. She grew up in Kellnersville and attended local area schools. On September 4, 1948 she married Alois Tadych at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2005. Rose worked as a press operator for Mirro for 20 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post# 6179 Auxiliary of Kellnersville serving in the past as president, St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Rosary Society. Rose enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing cards and dart ball. She also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packer football games.
She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Edward Tadych, Harshaw; Anna Mae (Richard) Voight, Brooksville, FL; Karen Neff, North Fort Myers, FL; Kenneth Tadych, rural Manitowoc and his special friend: Annette Lyon; Mary Weina, Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister-in-law: Robert (Shirley) Decker, Spread Eagle; two sisters: Marion Lorenz, rural Two Rivers; Beatrice Tonczuk, TX; one sister-in-law: Leona Price, De Pere; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Emily Decker; her husband: Alois Tadych; one son: Donald Tadych; one son-in-law: Jerry Richmond; one daughter-in-law: LuAnn Tadych; one great-grandson: Dylan Konitzer; three brothers: James Decker; Edward Decker; William Decker; one sister: Emily Kozaczuk; nine brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 522 Tower Avenue, Kellnersville. Rev. Dennis Ryan will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
