Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County has been named to the 100 Top Hospitals list by IBM Watson Health. According to a news release, the local AMC campus in Two Rivers was one of two, small community hospitals in Wisconsin to make the grade and just one of four in the state to be named to the entire list. The local facility was recognized for its’ performance on patient safety, inpatient & outpatient quality of care, financial stability, operational efficiency, and patient experience measures. Cathie Kocourek, President of Aurora Medical Center-Manitowoc County, said “Being recognized as one of Watson Health’s 100-Top Hospitals is an honor that reflects our commitment to providing safe, high quality & cost-effective care for our patients. It also demonstrates our focus on making our community healthier.”
