The Charlie Bucket Band serenaded the crowd on a beautiful Saturday as people swarmed the Smiling Moose in Osman for the first Annual Porta Potty Race to benefit Lakeshore Foster Families and Friends. 11 teams of 3-5 participants had built their own Potty to push down a drag strip marked off in the snow. Designs ranged from a cardboard box on skis to a painted up traditional porta potty. We were able to catch up with Karie Koble from Lakeshore Foster Families and Friends, and she couldn’t be happier with the turnout.
Proceeds from the event went to the group which focuses on restoring opportunities to the abused and neglected youth of the Lakeshore area.
