Redline Plastics, which is based in Manitowoc, has announced plans for a groundbreaking ceremony for a nearly 118,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the City’s I-43 Technology & Enterprise Campus. Redline will break ground on their new plant next Thursday, March 21st at 11 am. The $12.5-million dollar facility is needed due to continued growth over the last few years and, more than doubles the size of their current home at 4230 Clipper Drive. The company currently has 100-employees and is projected to hire more than 40 new workers over the next 3-years. The building is being constructed on just over 11-acres of land on South 59th Street, large enough to add another 100-thousand square feet of manufacturing space to accommodate future growth. Nick Murray, Vice President of Operations, said: “Manitowoc is a wonderful community and we’re excited to continue our growth & investment in the community & its’ people.” Redline Plastics is a leading manufacturer of rotational molded, vacuum-formed & line-bent plastic products for a variety of uses, as well as leather & textile products for the ‘power-sports’ industry.
