The Green Bay Police Department has issued an update on K9 Pyro. According to the news release, “he is continuing to make great improvements, becoming more active and is more engaging with his handler and staff at the hospital. Officer Salzmann and his family have been taking Pyro out for more walks and helping him continue strides to survive this tragic incident.” Pyro is recovering from the stab wounds he received at the hand of Sai Vang earlier this week. Vang is facing charges of felony causing injury to a police animal, and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer. The GBPD is thanking the public for their support for K9 Pyro.
