Scammers will hold nothing sacred. The Green Bay Police Department is warning the public of scammers utilizing the situation surrounding K9 Pyro to con people out of their money. Ever since Pyro was stabbed in the neck area three times while protecting his fellow officers, the public has donated money and offered prayers to Pyro, in an attempt to help in any way possible. The GBPD is warning that scammers have been calling people to ask for donations to help the critically injured K9. They warn people not to give any donations over the phone, as it is likely a scam. If you do wish to donate, contact the GBPD for legitimate ways to do so.
K9 Pyro is making “Great Progress” and is continuing to heal. He still has a long road of recovery but today is just one milestone of eating soft food while still maintaining a liquid diet.
