The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is going to host a National Conference of Maritime Museums this week. CAMM, an acronym of the Council of American Maritime Museums, will hold its’ annual conference in town, starting Wednesday. Cathy Green is the local museum’s Acting Executive Director, and she told us that there will be around 100 maritime museum professionals from around the country on hand.
Green also tells SeehaferNews.com the conference will also include a number of field trips. And, of course, the U.S.S. Cobia submarine is one of the highlights, but they will also be visiting the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, and the Door County Maritime Museum. Coincidentally, both museums are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year so they’ll be doing some partnership promotions. About the national conference, Green added, “We are proud to share original exhibits, programs and ideas” with those in attendance.
