The Woodland Dunes Nature Center is celebrating the arrival of an Osprey egg. Ospreys are unique among North American raptors for their diet of live fish and the ability to dive into the water to catch them and are common sights over shorelines. In a news release, the Nature Center says that “Skye” dropped her first egg yesterday. Woodland Dunes Nature Center will be announcing a chick naming contest after they are certain Skye is done laying. Live image feeds of the Osprey can be seen on the Woodland Dunes Nature Center webpage by clicking here.
