On the same day a report named Wisconsin the top producing cranberry state for the 25th straight year, a research group at the University of Wisconsin found the impact of agriculture on the state’s economy continues to grow. A study, conducted every five years, found agriculture contributed about 104-billion dollars to the state’s economy in 2017. That number was up 16 percent from 2012. Most of that growth was attributed to the food processing industry.
