Lakeshore Artists Guild presents Art Slam 2019 Lineup of Entertainment and Activities (Numbers correspond to Map key)
Art Slam happens on Saturday, September 21st, from 9am to 3pm in downtown Manitowoc. The Aspire Real Estate Group Education Center is again, generously hosting Art Slam Headquarters (1) this year and David Pozorski will be there to answer any and all questions, direct you to a specific event, register participants of the Art Challenge, or simply be entertaining as he demonstrates turning wood bowls.
There will be stencils and signs on the sidewalks to lead people to locations.
(2) Washington Park Hands-On Activities – 9am to 3pm:
*Pop Up Makers.
*Kids Moment, Sponsored by Clipper City Coop.
*Tie Dye T-shirts and Bandanas.
*Face Painting with Silver Lake College Students.
*Pottery demonstrations with Emily Weinberger.
*Civic Center reps.
Forst Inn Stage in Washington Park from 9am to 3pm:
9:00am Kids Theatre Activities (Interactive).
10:00am Classical Theatre Performances (Comedy and more!).
11:00am Swing Dance (Learn a broadway swing combination).
Noon dedication of “Hop, Skip, Jump into the Future”.
12:15pm Broadway Sings – Enjoy music from Broadway.
1:00pm Acoustic Music.
2:00pm Acoustic Music.
The Art Trolley departs and returns to Washington Park three times during the day; 9:30am, 11:30am and, 1:30pm. Hosted by Jason Prigge of CoolestCoast.
Dance:
Jean Wolfmeyer School of Dance will host an open house on Franklin (all day)
Manty Dance will have Flash Mobs lead by Carrie McLean (in Washington Park at select times)

(4) Public Paint-By-Number Mural on north side pedestrian walkway under the 8th Street bridge.
(5) POETRY SLAM! at Kathie’s Stage Door Pub from 6pm to 8pm. Local poets read their work with an open mic after.

Rocks of Encouragement, led by Paula Radl, will be painting outside of Glaze and Paint, 909 Washington Street.
(11) The Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra is delighted to be a part of Art Slam 2019. Some of their musicians will be performing, in shifts, on the Courthouse grounds from 9am to 3pm.
Water’s Edge Artists will be holding a “paint out”; they will be painting en plein air in the downtown area. Water’s Edge Artists are a philanthropic art group who donates proceeds from sales of art to various environmental agencies within the state.
