Amid concerns over the coronavirus, County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer has declared a Public Health Emergency in Manitowoc County as a proactive step to guard against the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the continuity of essential County government operations to support the health, wellbeing and safety of the public.
The declaration makes resources from multiple County departments available to fight COVID-19 and follows declarations at both the State and Federal level.
Emergency Services Director Travis Waack said in a news release last night that “there remain no confirmed cases of COVID-19 within Manitowoc County. However, multiple cases have been reported in neighboring counties.”
