Many people are a little confused about what exactly Governor Tony Evers’ Safer at Home Order means for them exactly.
Rumors have be spreading that the police will pull you over if you are out and about, but that simply is not the case.
Many police departments around the area have taken to Facebook to quell the rumors, saying you do not need documentation stating that you are an “essential” employee.
You are still able to leave your home to do things such as go grocery shopping, receive medical attention, or simply to take a walk.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is however dealing with a report of an individual who is going around asking for documentation.
The person was reportedly wearing a green uniform and black ball cap with no insignia, and was wearing a name plate reading Abraham, had a mic clipped to the front of his shirt and a clip light on his ball cap.
If you are approached by this man, you are encouraged to report it to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
