There are now seven cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County.
The reason for the first six could easily be tracked, because the original three had traveled internationally, and the second set of three had direct contact with them, but this new case is different.
This individual had no known contact with any of the other six people, meaning this case spread by what is called “community spread.”
On hard surfaces, the virus can actually live for hours after it first made contact, so washing your hands frequently is very important. As is practicing social distancing, as the virus cannot travel more than six feet through the air.
