Testing for the COVID-19 virus is quite limited due to a shortage of supplies needed to run the test.
This is a problem here in Wisconsin, but also in many other states.
The Wisconsin State Lab is reportedly working with partners in both the public and private sector to fix this problem, but for now, the tests are only being run on those who are experiencing symptoms.
Once tests become more widely available, there may be a sudden spike in the number of confirmed cases, but it should be noted that it takes around two weeks for symptoms to actually appear after someone contracts the virus.
