Wide receiver Geronimo Allison will have to find his untapped potential in Detroit.
After a disappointing fourth season with the Green Bay Packers, Allison was cut adrift and signed a one-year deal with the Lions Sunday.
Allison caught 89 passes for 1,045 yards and six touchdowns while playing 46 games for Green Bay.
Injuries sidelined him after a promising start to the 2018 season, the Packers resigned him – but Allison never seemed to be comfortable as the slot receiver for coach Matt LaFleur’s offense.
He becomes the fifth Packer free agent to find a new home, following Bryan Bulaga, Kyler Fackrell, Blake Martinez and Danny Vitale.
