Health Care Workers in Manitowoc County can receive a free oil change courtesy of Novak’s Service Center. Jeremiah Novak is the second-generation owner of the business located at the corner of 14th and Washington Street in Manitowoc. “We wanted to do something for the front line workers. The nurses, the doctors, the administrative people dealing with all the phone calls and try to help them out and say a thank you to them. We decided that we’re going to give away $10,000 worth of oil changes here at the shop until they run out.”
Novak tells Seehafer News that he’s not surprised the community has rallied behind those working hard on the front lines during this COVID-19 pandemic. “Chad Koeppel, he stepped up huge and donated money for them over at Workingman’s Friend. Following Chad’s example and some other businesses, I wanted to step up and do something for the community that’s helped support my family for almost 50 years now.”
The local business owner adds that he’s blessed to be able to give back, “Governor Evers says that we’re an essential business and we’re here for the emergency repairs but we’ve been insanely busy still. I thought for sure we’d have a dip in business and slow up a little bit but we’re really not. I’m very thankful for that. We’re going to try to give back as much as we can during these times because there are people who aren’t working right now.”
Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts has donated oil filters as well.
Those who work in the healthcare field in Manitowoc County can stop at Novak’s Service Center during regular business hours to pick-up a $50 gift certificate for their next oil change. There’s a limit of one certificate per worker with no expiration date.
