The U-S Army Contracting Command has awarded a $346 million contract to Oshkosh Defense for modernizing some of its vehicles.
Oshkosh is to bring the heavy expanded mobility tactical trucks and palletized load system trucks up to date, while also manufacturing some new P-L-S trailers.
The Army says the heavy tactical vehicle fleets are designed to work with many mission packages and to be used in several different ways.
Over the last 25 years, the Wisconsin-based company has modernized more than 17,000 vehicles for the military.
